Beyond Grey Sweet Tooth Challenge

This is the first time I am entering Beyond Grey challenges. This time round they have 'Sweet Tooth challenge with color palette. I have used shades of yellow, blue, green and brown from the palette. I think it can be gifted to some cute little fellow.

I have heat embossed the image. First I used versamagic chalk ink Jumbo Java, but it didn't hold the embossing powder. Then I used Brilliance Cosmic Copper, and surprisingly this Fast Drying ink was able to hold the powder to the surface.

Quilled Numbers Anniversary Scrapbook

Okay, so this is the original project which I wanted to submit for Lulupu Challenge. But couldn't. Why? Because I didn't have the photos :)
I made this scrapbook for my parents' 41st wedding anniversary ( which was last December). I had all the photos saved in my laptop, but it decided to ditch me and gave up ghost. As I had already sent the album to India, I had to ask my brother to take photos of the pages and send me. There are only six pages in the album as I couldn't make more because of m laziness. But I decided to go ahead and gift the album ( more pages can be made and added later). And the result was as desired. My sister told me that mummy became very emotional when she got the album. Now she shows it to all the guests :)

Love and Lace Heart Shape Quilled Trinket Box

I have seen some creations in black and red and the combination is so classic and pretty. So this time I decided to try my hands on making something in black and red. But I had nothing in black so I CHEATED. I die cut the cardboard which came with my template. ( The ones that come with dies or plastic templates to prevent them from bending in the mail). Then painted it with black ready mix paint. I also wanted to use lace, but again : no black lace. So I colored the white lace with black promarker.

heart shape Quilled trinket box
The lid of the heart box is filled with small rolled ( at both ends)quilling strips though it looks like beehive technique. The box turned out to my liking so I decided to make a pair of earring to put in it. My daughter Ananya also joined in and made a few pairs. ( I had to bend the headpins with pliers for her as she is just 8). For my earrings, I used a pair of charms by making memories, which I have had for more than a year.

I will gift the trinket box to my BFF. Now Ananya wants to gift something to her BFF. So I am thinking of making another box using a 'philadelphia' box along the same lines as this one. Hope to finish it before 14th :)

Valentine's Day Easel Box Card for Men

I am still in stick pin making mode. This time I experimented by using a small bracelet chain and attaching it to the heart key. The patterned paper is from a pad by MAMBI. Dies used are spellbinders ornamental tags 1 and spellbinders lace heart. I used ' vintage photo' to distress the edges. The love heart stamp is a freebie from a magazine. I stamped it in versamark ckalk ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment stamp' live, laugh, love' is from Wplus9. I so wanted to use ' You hold the key to my heart' somewhere on my card. But I didn't have this stamp. So I made a teeny tiny book and wrote this phrase on its first page. Then I put the book in a small envelope and put it in the drawer.

Lulupu : Oh So Love-ly ( I have to confess that this time I forgot that the twist was to use patterned paper. I was in the midway of the project when the tubelight swtiched on. I had to abandone that project and then I started this one. Me and my forgetfulness :)
